“We needed someone to refurbish our 70-year old Pella windows, and everyone but Philipp just wanted us to replace them completely. Luckily we trusted Philipp to refurbish and rebuild the existing windows! He has an engineer’s understanding of how wood and glass and metal work together to insulate a home, and he has an artist’s capacity to make things look beautiful. On top of that, he and Tymber are incredibly conscious of the environment, and they do not waste materials or create unnecessary mess. They think about their work as a contribution to the community, and that is why we have also become friends.”
“Philipp’s creativity, attention to detail, resourcefulness(use of reclaimed wood from a porch in our neighborhood),and energy brought life, beauty, elegance and simplicity to our juice bar. The amazing counter and living green wall is what makes our space so relaxing and enjoyable to be in.
Thank you Neighborhood Woodshop for being our neighbor and our friend. ”
“We have an heirloom four-seat, wooden swing constructed by our great-grandfather. The Neighborhood Woodshop was recommended to us by Abbott Paint for their fine, small-project wood work. We wanted the swing’s canopy restored, not replaced, and that was exactly the mindset of Philipp and his colleagues. The work was completed beautifully, as estimated and in a timely manner. The Woodshop’s team maintained and restored the majority of the original woodwork and replaced, with high quality wood, only those portions that needed replacement. They performed fine restorative work, some we had not expected, yet kept to the original estimate. The swing’s restoration has provided us with a solid, beautiful, like-new canopy. We highly recommend the work of the Neighborhood Woodshop.
